Objectives

With a good understanding of the Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies, the next step is to adopt and apply them to reduce operating costs and enhance delivery reliability in the Supply Chain and Logistics operations.

This module covers the steps of applying one of the key Six-Sigma process – DMAIC process – to improve and reduce variation on operating processes, leading to lower operating costs and enhancing delivery reliability.  Supporting tools will also be demonstrated and practiced, and a written assignment will be given to draft up project proposal for a defined case.

Participants also enrol for Lean Six-Sigma in Logistics III (Green Belt equivalent).

Lecturer

Daniel Chew holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, four Master Degrees, three Graduate Diplomas, two Diplomas, Two Teaching Certificates and a First-Class Honours Degree in Engineering.   Before embarking on his Life Calling in teaching and consultancy, Daniel was a Regional Director & General Manager in Operations and Supply Chain.

 

Certification

A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded upon successful completion of Project Assignment and attainment of 75% attendance.
