Operating a warehouse is a costly and a critical element to the success of a business. It is essential to determine what are the resources needed to operate a warehouse / distribution center and their corresponding cost. An accurate warehouse costing will provide checks and balance to the management not to overrun their budget. And for logistics service providers, a good knowledge on warehouse costing will ensure that they can accurately forecast the profitability of their warehouse operation for both multi-users operation and contract logistics operation.
