Course Objective
Supply Chain Management attempts to centrally control or link the production, shipment, and distribution of a product. By managing the supply chain, companies are able to cut excess costs and deliver products to the consumer faster. This is done by keeping tighter control of internal inventories, internal production, distribution, sales, and the inventories of company vendors. In SCM, the supply chain management team coordinates the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain. Amongst the SCM aspects, strategic sourcing and procurement is crucial to support in achieving the organisation’s goals.
The course aims to equip learners with the knowledge of skills of procurement suppliers. Competency includes procurement techniques, outsourcing, procurement policies, e-procurement, supplier selection & audit, contract management and negotiation, reverse bidding, and price & cost analysis

Lecturer
Mr Peter Chua is the Managing Director of Ignite Training and Consultancy LLP. He has more than 20 years of corporate experience with global responsibility. Peter specialises in Supply Management and Supply Chain Operations. Peter is a cross-industry practitioner, having worked in leading companies across various industries – Oil & Gas/ Natural Resource, Chemical Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical-Nutritional, Medical-Ophthalmic. He has wide exposure in traditional and e-commerce business models and is conversant in commodities trading, manufacturing and retailing business. He has a unique experience in project logistics, having managed all nine classes of dangerous goods (Class-1 explosives to Class-9 miscellaneous dangerous goods).
