Board of Directors
The Board of Directors establish the policies, rules, and regulations deemed necessary to ensure the viability of The Logistics Academy and to attain the goals set forth in the vision and mission statements.

Mr Dave Ng
Mr Dave Ng is the Chairman of Singapore Logistics Association. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in International Supply Chain Management and holds a Diploma in Computer Studies and Business. He is the Chief Executive Officer, Bok Seng Logistics Pte Ltd and also the Bok Seng Group Chief Executive Officer. Concurrently, he also holds the appointment of Director in Bok Seng PPSEZ Dry Port Co Ltd, Bok Seng Heavy Equipment Sdn Bhd, PT Bok Seng Investment Indonesia, and Marinteknik Shipbuilders (S) Pte Ltd.
As part of his contribution to the industry, he is the Council Committee Member for Workplace Safety & Health Council (Logistics & Transport). He also assists as a Committee Member for Bukit View Primary School Advisory as well as an Advisory Committee Member for Centre of Innovation for Supply Chain Management, Republic Polytechnic. He was the Past Chairman for the Singapore Transport Association.

Mr Stanley Lim
Mr Stanley Lim is currently the Council Member of the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) and he chairs the Internationalisation Committee . He has been serving in various positions in the Association. He was the SLA Chairman from 1992 to 2006 and is the longest serving Council Member of the Association. He has been involved and contributed to FIATA, International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations since 1991. He served as Chairman of Congress Committee and was elected to into the Presidency as Senior Vice President (2001-2007) and Treasurer (2007-2011). At the FIATA World Congress in Cairo, he was elected as the President for the Term 2011-2013. After he relinquished his Presidency in 2013, he is member of the FIATA Extended Board and the FIATA Foundation. He is re-elected as Chair of the FIATA World Congress Committee (2019-2021).

Prof. (Dr.) Thomas Sim
Prof. (Dr.) Thomas Sim, BSc.(Aeronautical), MSc.(LSCM), MTD.(Edu), DA.(Edu) is the Group Chief Executive Officer of ‘The Topocean Group’ in Singapore. He joined the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) since 2000 and served as the elected as the 1st Deputy Chairman of the SLA from 2008-2014. In addition, he also chairs the SLA Human Capital Development Committee since 2004 and the Academic Director of The Logistics Academy (TLA) since 2010.

Mr Max Ee
Mr Max Ee is Deputy Chairman of SLA Human Capital Development Committee. He is a transport and logistics practitioner and advisor, having more than 20 years of operational experience. He holds a Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A. Honours) from the National University of Singapore, and a Masters of Science in Logistics from the Nanyang Technological University. In addition he also attained the Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis from the Institute of Systems Science. Max is the Founder and Principal Consultant of SCMi Group LLP, a boutique supply chain management and logistics consulting and training firm incorporated in Singapore.

Mr Gerry Tan
Mr Gerry Tan is the Honorary Treasurer of Singapore Logistics Association. He oversees the international business clientele and development of the company as well as its international market positioning and branding. He is appointed as Director in the board of Griffin Kinetic Sdn Bhd, overseeing the development of logistics models for the oil & gas industry in Malaysia.
After his graduation from Raffles Institution in 1978, he started working in an international trading company in 1981 as a marketing officer and eventually was promoted as a company director in 1985. With the working experience derived from the frequent overseas travels, he was able to appreciate the advantages of an efficient logistics network. He crossed over to the freight forwarding industry in 1987 as a marketing manager in the Changi Aircargo office with a local company, GK Express. In 1988, he co-foundered Griffin Kinetic Pte Ltd and was appointed as Managing Director in 1998.
