Ministry of Manpower published the National WSH Statistics Report 2017

The fatal injury rate saw a reduction of 36% from 1.9 in 2017 to 1.2 in 2016. 42 workplace fatalities occurred in 2017 with Vehicular-related incidents and Fall from Heights incidents continued to be the top contributors.

Both workplace major and minor injury rates declined in 2017 compared to 2016. Falls continued to be the top cause of major injuries followed by Crushing, Fractures & Dislocations and finally Amputations. There was an increase in the number of Occupational Diseases (OD) in 2017 compared to 2016 and the leading ODs are Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorder and Noise-Induced Deafness.
